Marc Goldstein heads research engagement for RiskMetrics Group’s Governance Services unit. Based in Rockville, Maryland, Goldstein acts as the primary liaison between RiskMetrics and market stakeholders who wish to engage on governance issues. Prior to taking on this role, Goldstein headed governance research for RiskMetrics’ Tokyo office.

Prior to his role at RiskMetrics Group, Goldstein spent two years with a Japanese company in Osaka, and worked as an attorney and a legal translator in Washington, DC. While in Tokyo, Goldstein was a member of the Tokyo Stock Exchange Corporate Governance Committee and the Tokyo Stock Exchange Advisory Committee.

Goldstein received his Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Wesleyan University and also holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Maryland. Additionally, he is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
