Equal Opportunity Employer Statement

Mutual respect is one of our key success factors at RiskMetrics, and we are committed to providing a workplace that embraces diversity, inclusion and equal employment opportunity and that is free from harassment and discrimination.

RiskMetrics makes all employment decisions, including those related to hiring, firing, training, promotion, pay and benefits, without regard to gender, race, color, age, political opinion/affiliation, marital status, pregnancy, national origin/ancestry, religion/faith, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical/mental disability, military/veteran status or any other basis prohibited by law. This policy applies to our directors, employees, applicants, customers and business partners (including independent contractors, vendors and suppliers).

Background: Non-discrimination laws and regulations vary considerably in the countries and localities where RiskMetrics has employees. In formulating our EEO statement, RiskMetrics sought to include categories protected under statutes in all of these locations, as well as those documented in the International Labor Organization's core conventions on these topics (ILO 100 and 111). The purpose of including all of these classifications is twofold. First, we want to ensure that all employees and applicants understand that decisions on employment, pay, training and promotion at RiskMetrics are based on a person's ability to do the job, not on other personal attributes. Second, the policy seeks to provide a uniform set of standards for all of RiskMetrics' offices, so that employees transferring between these locations or working temporarily away from their home office can do so with the confidence that they will be treated with the same dignity, respect and rights.
